17 Sep 2012A woman learns about men from the first man in her life. And for those of us who did not have a Father Knows Best kind of dad, that can spell trouble later on. It did for me, leaving a hole in my heart that I sought to fill in a vain attempt to be whole. And men can struggle just as much from not having the love and attention of an emotionally healthy father, but it may present itself differently than it does for daddy's little girls.

30 Aug 2012The clock seems to tick extra slowly. And the moon shines full bright while cricket song fills the wee hours of a cool summer morning. Sleepless... And I hold my breath and breathe a silent prayer as text messages and Facebook posts bring news not as good as I would like.
