This post is the fifth installment of a series where we walk through the seven modules of our LifeMapping model, helping you to understand the module’s purpose and how it contributes to the goal of living your calling.

The four modules that precede Calling all contribute to revealing what is in your heart, those deep-rooted desires God placed there serving as living clues as to your life purpose, your calling.

To be sure, not every desire is heaven authored; self, the devil, and the world seek to lay their own claims on our hearts in an effort to drown out heavenly anthems making discernment a critical tool in determining the authorship of our various desires. In the end, desires genuine to our calling find full sympathy with the word of God. Any to the contrary are counterfeit. By the time we reach this fifth of seven modules, the vetting process will have ferreted out the impostors.

To think of calling as synonymous with vocation is to limit calling’s role. Calling goes beyond occupational boundaries, permeating every aspect of life—including those precious relationships identified in Remembrance, breathing its aromatic  fragrance into every one of your Accounts. Calling is the weightiness of your life, the glory of God he imparted to you that your life would influence the world around you in Jesus’ name.

Calling is sometimes a mystery that God chooses to unveil in stages over your lifetime, a dynamic truth of who you are becoming revealed an image at a time.

In essence, the Calling module is a repository for holding precious cargo: a succinct statement of your calling as best understood at a moment in time, the DNA defining your spiritual makeup.
