This post is the third installment of a series where we walk through the seven modules of our LifeMapping model, helping you to understand the module’s purpose and how it contributes to the goal of living your calling.
According to Daniel Harkavy, CEO and Head Coach of Building Champions, life is like a collection of accounts with each account having its own particular balance or value. These accounts are usually represented by our relationships and such things as our careers, finances, etc. Whatever their form, they are important to us and exert substantial influence in our lives.
In the previous module, Remembrances, you had the opportunity to imagine your own memorial service. The people you wanted to see there represent the key relationships in your life, your relational accounts.
But there are other, non-relational entities impacting your life too, such as your career. There may be others such as ministry or volunteering or even a hobby you’re passionate about. And don’t forget finances!
Regardless of their form, the Accounts module captures these significant players to assure they are always factored into your plans recognizing the imperative of investing in them according to their priority in your life and keeping you from getting sidetracked. After all, to every man and woman is given but twenty-four hours in the day. Make them count!
