Cape Ann MA, christianity, endings and beginnings, launching a new business, longings end, sheila kimball

That’s all that’s LEft in the tower.
And the clock ticks slower than molasses in January.
Excitement builds on the home front daily, and I find myself going back and forth between what still is and what is coming.
So I purpose to stay on track and finish strong by staying in the moment as best I can.
Although I’m afraid that absent my heart beating with love for this current job, it has been a severely challenging mercy to work unto Jesus here.
Plugging along, doing my best, I’m tying up loose ends so I can segue into starting strong in the next chapter.
Not burning any bridges, but thankful to be ending so we can begin …
Meanwhile back at the ranch, Dearest Husband diligently stokes the fire under LEft {Longings End full time}.
Expert analyst, organizer and strategist, as well as wonderful writer and dazzling dreamer, he has put all our ducks in a row and plotted out a course of action! You can read more about our business start up preparations over at our other blog Following Platform.
During these seven days LEft {seven being the Lord’s number of completion or excellence} I’ll complete what needs to be done here, while focusing on the excellence of His perfection in all things.
His perfect character.
His perfect forgiveness.
His perfect love.
His perfect plans for us.
His perfect timing.
And the perfect way He works all things for good.
All things…starting with Baby flying away {a story for another day, perhaps}, my sons growing up, moving out, getting married, moving FAR away, meeting Dearest Husband during a free ten day trial window of opportunity online, marrying him 47 days later and now, with all the pieces in place, me leaving the tower and us selling our home.
So much change in two short years!
Yet He is without change.
And in that is our stability, comfort, and hope.
James reminds me that all this change and riptide of emotions — those waves of sadness and loss pounding my heart mingled with wave upon wave of joy and anticipation of the future — have changed me. Helping me grow up a little bit more. So that the family resemblance to my Elder Brother is much more evident.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1: 2-8
As another wave of change rolls in, we’ll catch it and hang ten for a big, wild ride of faith.
Holding fast to Him, our Life Preserver, especially when tough or uncertain moments come and we may be tempted to think it was all craziness.
Giving thanks with grateful hearts to our Amazing Lord for this amazing dream come true, {again in July, a season of huge change like last year’s elopement}.
And we will pray without ceasing…
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
