Longings End was recently presented with the One Lovely Blog Award…and it touched our heart.
A special thank you to two blogger friends: Terry1954, who writes inspirational stories that touch your heart and soul while caring for her brother; and One Loved American Girl, which chronicles one girl’s journey through Army life as a wife, mother, home economist, and believer who loves all things crafty.
As part of the award, here are a few fun facts about us…
1. We love love love Jesus Christ above all else and seek to follow His call on our lives.
2. We will celebrate our First Anniversary on July 18, a later in the game surprise happy ending for two lives that were wrought with the wreckage of poor choices earlier on. It’s been a year of delightful newlywed discovery while my nest empties.
3. Dearest Husband and I have on ongoing friendly debate over whose eyes are darker green {mine!}. (Sorry, Sheil. I’m sneaking in here behind your back to let folks know that MINE are definitely the darker green of the two!)
4. We name our cars: Shadowfax and Beauty.
5. Dearest Husband whips up the best green juice each morning to keep us healthy.
6. We love adventure, having married each other {a relative stranger} after a 47 day, God honoring courtship.
7. We believe the second half of our lives will be the best years of our lives and are poised on the edge of the precipice, ready to jump into Dad’s arms as we follow Him in a much more radical way than ever before…{more on this in a future post!}
